Climate for Change - Epcor Stage

Edmonton, Canada. Frmr PM Campbell moderated the panel titled "Leading for Change" at the Climate for Change - Epcor Stage event on March 5, 2018. It was billed as "an update on the federal and provincial governments' climate change plans, priorities and initiatives." Panelists: The Hon. Catherine McKenna, MP, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Canada,  and the Hon. Shannon Phillips, MLA, Minister of Environment and Parks and Minister Responsible for the Climate Change Office, Government of Alberta.

Next Generation Democracy Regional North American Roundtable

San Francisco, USA. "Democracy in crisis: Populism vs leadership for inclusion" was the topic of the session in which Frmr PM Campbell participated at the North American *NGD Roundtable. Other participants were Maxwell Cameron [Professor from Univ of British Columbia] and Rafael Fernandez de Castro [Professor - Univ of California San Diego] and the session was facilitated by Larry Diamond [Sr. Fellow - Stanford Univ].

2018 Friends of University of Alberta Tory Lecture

Edmonton, Canada. Ms. Campbell delivered the Henry Marshall Tory Lecture presented by The Friends of the University of Alberta. Her speech titled, "Preparing 21st Century Leaders" included insights such as “sharing power actually takes a great deal of moral strength”.

2018 David Peterson Women and Leadership Lecture - Univ of Toronto

Toronto, Canada. University of Toronto's School of Public Policy and Governance welcomed Rt Hon Kim Campbell to deliver their 2018 Peterson Lecture on Women and Leadership. In it, Ms. Campbell said, "Sexism does not consist of people saying, 'I don't like women.' It's when women are not given the benefit of the doubt. --when they are held to a different standard."

The lecture was followed by a panel discussion featuring Sarah Kaplan, Terhas Ghebretecle, and Peter Loewen.
