To mark the occasion CIGI also convened a conference titled, “Can Think Tanks Make a Difference?” Former Prime Minister Campbell was the lead speaker of the session, “Do Governments Care More About Politics than Policy?” While she was at CIGI for the events, Ms. Campbell took a moment to discuss the differences between the politics and policy development, and the value of think tanks in engaging the public in each sphere. The conference was held April 6-8, and was sponsored and organized by the alumni of the Canada-Ukraine Parliamentary Program (CUPP), and the Oxford University Ukrainian Society, in cooperation with the Russian and Eurasian Studies Center.
